ED vs. RD?

Hello everyone! My heart is basically set on Barnard, but I was unable to apply ED because my SAT score was not up to par (1870), so I took the ACT with writing a couple of times and my score still isn’t very impressive (28 composite, but my reading and English scores were 32 and 30 respectively).

Is it A LOT harder to get into Barnard RD than ED? Do I still have a chance despite my low test scores? I have an UW GPA of 3.76 & I am a full IB diploma candidate.

My daughter was accepted to Barnard in a very competitive year with a 28 ACT. I don’t think any of her ACT subscores was above 30.

Focus on your positives in your application. You can’t get accepted if you don’t apply; there is nothing to lose by applying, as long as you also have some good safety options to fall back on.
