Hey fellow WashU hopefuls! Ugh I’m so nervous I can’t even decide if i Will look at the WUSTL pathway on the 15th. I’m so unconfident I don’t even want to see! Maybe I’ll just wait for the letter. AHHHH. mid-senior year crisis.

■■■■ so many kids from my high school and several of my good friends from other schools applied to WashU ED…the 15th is going to be a crazy day. I’m jealous of my friends who get their decisions from other schools this week.

really? what state are you from? i’m actually the only one from my school applying. and i know, people who applied to dartmouth (6 of my close friends!) find out tomorrow!! oh well, i suppose a week isn’t tooooo far away

ARG!!! I wish they’d let us know sooner like Cornell, Dartmouth, and Columbia (all of which people at my school are waiting for) because I do not want to take the ACT this Saturday!

Ahhh! It would be so nice if they would let us know sooner. I hope its nicer weather in MO than it is here! It’s been below 20 degrees for the last three days (Denver)

Best of luck from the class of 2013!! Don’t give up hope; I got in RD last year and I was MADDDD shocked so I’m sure you all have better chances than you think.

not that i want to, but is there any way of getting out of an ed contract? just curious
if all financial aid is good, then is there a way of getting out?
and with financial aid, say they meet my index, but i feel as tho thats not enough, is that enough reason to get out?

One of my friends did ED at washu, but he realizes he made a mistake.
any suggestions?

If he believes it was a mistake, he can call the admissions office immediately and ask them to convert his app to RD. Just say he’s realizing that he really needs to compare financial aid offers. That’s far better than backing out after a binding admission offer is made. Backing out can have ripple effects: admissions might share the info with other colleges to which he has applied, and might think poorly of the applicant’s high school/guidance office, and reject future students if they think they’re being jerked around by applicants from that high school.
