so is anyone applying ED to richmond??

me ed2, what are my chances

GPA: 3.4UW school doesn't weight w/ 5 Ap's and 5 honors courses
SAT: 1450 M740 V710, psat:216 National Merit Semi Finalist (is the really that important?)
Essays: One really excellent one I'm using at all the schools with better than good ones for each
Recs: 2 favorite teachers wrote excellent letters
EC's: 200+ volunteer hours, junior state of america, young democrats club, math club, knowledge bowl, tennis 4 year varsity and captain senior year, student senate, founder of a used cell phone drive for domestic violence awareness
Character: like to have lots of fun, can get along with about anyone but I love being around really smart people who have a dumb sense of humor (i.e. albert einstein who laughs his head off watching the movie Old School haha)
Location: Bellevue, WA Newsweek magazine ranked us the 13th best public high school in the country two years ago.

So how 'bout it?

You are in.

thanks what do you think if I RD instead, less chance but still in?

Honestly, I think you will be fine either way. I know people with much lower stats than yours who got in.

ok thats a relief, i think it was a match school but wasn't sure if it was a safety or not, at least I know it's some what of a match/safety

Defininely a safety school for you, unless you absolutely love it and must go there, you don't need to do ED2.

lol good, i mean i love the school and i dont think i could love a safety any more than I do, but its a relief to know I can just go rd everywhere now

thanks for the encouragement

hey guys

what is your unweighted gpa, that is what matters, who cares if its above 4.0, they bring it down to a normal unweighted level

in that case, its like a 3.5..blah n i'm applyin rd too...oh well everyone needs a reach school:)

I wouldn't say its a reach, my gpa is lower, but it more of a match for both of us

hmm well that makes me feel better:) do u know exactly what richmond is known for/speacializes in? i wanna go into international development/econ. is richmond good for this?

richmond specializes in business (the robins school of business) and leadership (the jepson school of leadership) both are excellent, but id assume that iternational development would be good, econ though, uou might as well take a business concentration =]
