does anyone know whether your chances really do increase at UF if you apply ED?

I doubt it very highly. I know someone last year that applied early decision for summer B and got deferred to regular decision 1. Then she was deferred again in Feb to regular decision 2 where she finally found out that she was rejected.

your chances are def higher at ED

They are most definitely higher.

You're chances are MUCH higher.

thx for the replies - would anyone have info on the admission statistics for ED and RD?

(I haven't found the numbers on their website...)

There isn't any. In fact, UF doesn't officially say that it gives you higher chances of admission. It's a well known fact that chances are indeed higher. Let me rephrase that, the standards are lower.

Do it if you like UF. That simple

At a workshop of admissions directors, UF's said an applicant has a somewhat better chance at getting accepted ED. You still need to be around the mid-ranges for gpa and test scores.

Yup, itll def help
