Ed

well you’re allowed to withdraw from that ED agreement if you can’t pay for it. You do have a better chance with ED because ED shows that you really want to go there which is important to Lehigh.

Do not by any means apply ED to ANY school if you cannot afford the sticker price (unless you are absolutely sure you will receive financial aid). It is unfair to everyone else that applied ED because one possible student got denied admission because you took up a spot. Applying ED and then withdrawing after acceptance is very selfish and will make your acceptance chances for every other school you applied to decrease.

selfish ?! how could I be selfish when they didn’t meet my financial needs ?! what should I do ? by acceptance I understand not just being admitted but getting the financial aid I need..I don’t understand why this is going to affect my applications for other universitities ?

Problem is that you will have to pay for it somehow as you will be locked in Lehigh if accepted. If you do choose to not go to Lehigh after getting accepted ED, they can contact other schools and tell them that you do not keep promises. Point is, if you are not 100% sure that you will be attending ANY school for that matter regardless of financial aid, DO NOT ED to that school.
