I’m from Beijing!
Hi there, I’m an international applicant and I was asked to submit the CSS profile! I got an email in November from Wellesley Student Financial Services.
Btw do any of you know how we see the results? Do we get an email or do we need to check our portals?
Oh I guess then you’re probably going to get in… I haven’t received notice yet… Do you mind telling me when you received the email?
Nah I’m not so sure- I received two different emails on November 10th and 11th, so I’m assuming the AOs wouldn’t have had the chance to read my applications yet at that time. Maybe you should check your spam folder?
I checked but found nothing… thanks anyways…
Wait sorry, just to clarify, they tell us a week before “decisions will come out on [date]”? Would they tell us that through an email or a portal update?
I’m not certain, but I’ve heard that the actual decision is in the portal, but we get an email saying that an update has been made to our portal (but not what it is )
Hi everyone!!!
Thank you @lex613is for making this thread. As we are all here manifesting our acceptance letters, are there any clubs that you plan on joining?
I definitely plan(if i get in) to join some affinity groups like the latinx and lgbtq+. But for fun, I will probably join a club that focuses on hands on activities like knitting or craftsmanship. How about you?
Do you guys have any idea when we are going to receive the notification date email? I feel like we should have heard back by now. I am just really anxious and would love to know.
By the way, do you guys think more or less people applied this year? I think it could be either. On the one hand there is a test optional policy so more people can apply without fear of getting rejected because of their SAT/ACT score. But on the other hand, we didn’t get to visit or feel the vibe and many were struck financially so they don’t want to binded to a school they can’t afford.
Will we receive a notice regarding the specific date to receive the result? I’m so nervous while waiting for it comes out.
I am not sure about that. For another college, I got an email saying that I got accepted, and that was it. So Wellesley might just send us an email and update the portal or we might get an email beforehand telling us a date. I’m getting a bit anxious waiting too!
Idk if we will get a notification date email/portal change this year. They have in previous years, but they’ve also released decisions earlier. My counselor got an automatically-generated email from Wellesley in Oct that said the decisions would be released on a Saturday in Dec via the Applicant Portal. Maybe W’ll wait until Dec 12 or 19? There was a big Nor’easter last Saturday in New England that affected W, maybe that affected the admissions office.
@shinyjun I like knitting and crafting too. (If I get in) I will definitely join the knitting or fiber arts club. Joining an acapella group sounds fun too.
Thank you so much! This definitely makes me feel less nervous. Lets hope it comes out before this saturday.
Based on past year College Confidential posts, it looks like Wellesley announced ED1 decisions in 2018 on Thursday December 6 at 5 pm and 2019 on Saturday December 7th at 10 am. In 2019, Wellesley emailed and noted the planned announcement date 5 days before on the portal. Still no announcement from them this year, so its unlikely they will have a surprise release of admission decisions any time soon.
Hi! ED1 applicant here. Has anyone called or emailed admissions to inquire about when decisions will be released? Edit: my friend who applied EDII last year said that applicants do not receive an email when the portal is updated with the decision, however, she did receive an email about when decisions would be released about a week before. Not sure how different it will be this year for EDI especially because of the pandemic.
I haven’t emailed them because I feel like it would make me seem desperate and unprofessional.
does anyone know how to report test optional?
I haven’t emailed the admissions office because I don’t want to slow them down in the admissions process.
