GPA: 3.08 UW (I have made an improvement each semester of my high school career finishing with a 3.45 last semester which earned me honor roll)

SAT: 2060

SAT II: Math 2: 780

APs: AB Calc: 5, Computer Science 3 (sophomore year)

Advanced Classes (you have to be recommended to be allowed to take an advanced course in my school, and they don't offer many AP's) : AP AB Calc, AP French, AP Computer Science (and I'm taking Calc III right now which is past AP level) and 6 honors classes.

EC's: Georgetown Summer Program, VP of My Mind Matters Club (mental health awareness group), Student Government, Co-found and VP of American Civil Liberties Union Club, Director of Academic Affairs of Model Congress Club, Officer of Musicians of Dwight-Englewood, Project Cicero (not-for-profit organization ensuring that students in under-resourced communities have access to broad range of books), Arnold P. Gold Foundation (not-for-profit organization promoting humanism in medicine), 2014, Did relief work in New Orleans post-Katrina, Play Guitar and Bass: Jazz Rock (school music group for which auditions are held; concerts are performed semi-annually), The Flea (student-published satirical newspaper), JV and Varsity Soccer Team, JV Basketball Team, Model United Nations

Intended Major: Political Science

I'm hoping that my great essays, testing, academic rigor, and copious amounts of extra-curricular activities (especially politics related as I am applying to be a Political Science major) will bridge the gap with my GPA. I'm pretty nervous because it's hard to overlook a 3.08 GPA even with my other credentials....

Thanks!!!
