ED1 Apps are up 5%

The Bowdoin Orient has said that the amount of EDI applications are up 5% from the class of 2013.

[ED I apps projected to rise by five percent](http://orient.bowdoin.edu/orient/article.php?date=2009-11-20&section=1&id=1)

Do you think that this is a significant enough increase to seriously impact the competition in the EDI pool?

what do you mean by seriously impacting the competition in the ED1 pool?

More applicant = more competition

In any case, I don’t think you should worry. Your application is already submitted, and if you’re in, you’re in. I’m sorry for being glib since I did not apply ED1 but you could prepare your RD applications to dissipate the anxiety (assuming you haven’t done that already).

The post honestly wasn’t meant to imply that I am sitting here stressing out. That is actually the opposite of what I’m doing.

To be honest, I was just curious to know if anyone thought that the increase in applicants usually means more people admitted ED or if the number admitted would be similar. In other words, can the same percentage be expected to be admitted from the pool as the previous year? It was a trivial query, I just thought that other applicants might be interested in that article.

actually I’m not going to lie, I too applied ED1 and was checking every now and then for a release of ED1 applicants and am greatful that you posted that link, so thanks!
