now, i'm not sure if I have exactly what they want, I feel like I might get rejected... would my being a male and actually playing sports be some sort of hook towards a school like vassar?

I am not in admissions, but you look like a strong applicant to me. Go for it -- Vassar's film department is fantastic.

I tend to agree with Professor X... you look to have good chances. Your GPA is right where it should be, your SATs look good, your courses look suitably demanding, and you have a nice selection of ECs. If you're interested in playing sports at Vassar, be sure to contact the coach(es) for the sport(s) you're interested in. This can be done on the athletic website at: For Prospective Students. As for your question about being male and playing sports... your gender will help a bit, as will the sports if you plan on continuing them into college. Seeing as you're applying EDI, I'd say that Vassar is going to be a good fit for you.

I want you math SAT dude! I'm looking into Vassar too maybe I'll see you next year if life goes well!
