I see that Davidson accepted 190 students during the ED1 round about 39% of the incoming freshman class for fall 2011. Is the ED2 round much smaller??? If they accept a similar amount of students that does not leave much for the RD applicants. Anyone have any idea?
Thanks

You may be focusing on matriculation and not acceptances – though for ED they’re pretty much the same. But that’s the good news, because you just want an acceptance letter, right? A recent (maybe the most recent) Common Data Set says that they accepted 1,175 (out of 4,500 applications). If you’re correct that 190 acceptances went out in ED1, that means they’ve got 985 acceptances to hand out. Instead of worrying that 39% of the freshman class is spoken for, instead consider that about 84% of the acceptances have yet to be mailed for this application season. And you just need one of them.
