ED2- Mid year report

I noticed that the results for ED2 are sent out early February. My school's 2nd semester ends verrrry late January so the mid year school report probably won't be sent out until early Feb. I am doing pretty well this term and want Tufts to be able to see that before they make a judgement. Also, my school re-ranks at the end of each semester and my rank will definitely improve (from 12%ish to 9%ish im guessing) which might make a difference.

Should i not apply ED2? (im all done with everything but have yet to hit submit because of this) and just do RD?

Or is there any way to make sure Tufts gets this before they make a decision?

ahhhhhh. deadline = today.

help meeeeee. Dan@AdmissTufts? Anyone?

What did you end up doing?

I applied RD after a longgggg and drawn out decision. The mid-year report played a role in the decision but it was more realizing that i was applying ED2 more to avoid the mess of kids from my school that are applying RD than because i want to be completely committed to one school. It was actually Dan’s (from Tufts) remarks about ED2 that made me apply RD, mainly that it doesn’t play a huge role in admissions and there are no quotas per school.

Tufts is still my number 1 though. lol i actually accidentally submitted the supplement with it still marked ED2 because I forgot to save before i submitted (application said RD though) . I emailed them and got it straightened out so i guess i’ll just find out in April!

Ah, look what I miss when I go on vacation!

Mr. Fillmore: the slightly unusual calendar under which your school operates need not be a concern. We can make accommodations for things beyond your control - such as this. But, of course you didn’t know that until now. It sounds like you found other, more prudent reasons, to guide you. Good! If, however, you need more help with this, send me an e-mail and I’ll help you straighten it out.
