Am a singer who submitted a tape of classical and theatre music. Met with Music dept and got their support. wise thing.
other ecs: Anti defamation League teaching tolerance at my school and president of Gay/Straight Alliance. Also starred in musicals in 10, 11, and twelfth. But I think it was my contact w professors in music (especially) and theatre that was golden. Good luck. Are u premed? Maybe contact bio dept or some science prof.? It seems like its such a personalized school...

I am thinking of majoring in International Relations, but applied for Regular Decision. Would contacting an IR professor be a good idea?

Why not? If you have a writing sample or example of ecs that reflect your interest... that would be impressive, I think.

Wow thanks for the tip. I am pre-med but I am actually a physics major so I'll email one of the professors. Thank you and congratulations!

Go for it and good luck!
