EDed to Upenn .. should I drop an AP course? HELP

Hi, I applied to Upenn via early decision.
I'm thinking about dropping one of my AP classes.
Chem, because i'm pretty much committed to business now and this class is just giving me a lot of stress and work.
If I do so before the admission results are in, will it decrease my chance of getting in?
And if I do so after i am admitted, will Upenn reconsider my application?
Thank you
Terry

bump. I'd like to know too, even though I would never have the guts to do it :p

Bump again, cause I hate calculus.

Wait until you receive a decision, then call the admissions office and ask if your course change is OK.

I think you might be able to slide on penn with chem, but I really wouldn't advise dropping calculus, unless you were moving from BC to AB.

With only a week remaining until they post all decisions, there is a strong chance that they have made your decision already. This being said, I would just wait out until you find out in a week. If you get in, I would say it would be alright to drop it. If you get deferred, you may want to hang on to it to keep up your touch schedule and try to get in spring round. Denial, of course, wouldn't really matter.

Ostensibly you are taking the class because you want to learn the subject, and so should never have signed up for it if you have consistently disliked it. In the real world, however, I'd wait for the decision then ask Admissions (provided that waiting the extra week wont change the course designation after you drop it).
