<p>Hello Everyone,
I was wondering for those who applied for the Early Decision Round 1 when they expect to hear back? How they're feeling, etc. I know that I, myself particularly, have been stressing over this since i sent in my application. As a result, the subsequent weeks were congested with angst and doubt. Regardless, I'm hopeful, and hope everyone else is as well.</p>

<p>Last year’s ED1 letters were mailed mid-December. It seemed like a really long wait, but was worth it. Think of your fellow seniors that won’t know until spring! Good luck!</p>

<p>For voice, I remember them saying that you’d hear by tomorrow either email or mail.</p>

<p>according to their tumblr for edI liberal arts and sciences we should be notified some time after the 15th, not the actual day</p>

<p>nope. and since mail doesn’t come on Sundays, I would think tomorrow at the earliest.</p>

<p>People have heard - so I hope that means all letters are in the mail. Oberlin has already put up a welcome page for ED students: [Welcome</a> Class of 2017 Early Decision Students - Oberlin College](<a href=“http://new.oberlin.edu/early/]Welcome”>http://new.oberlin.edu/early/) There is also a Class of 2017 Facebook page. Some of the members of this page appear to be class of 2013. It is invite only, so one of the admins must have a list of accepted students. Here’s to hoping the mail reaches everyone soon. And here’s to hoping for good news!</p>

<p>Per the Oberlin twitter feed, letters were mailed 12/14. Students have begun receiving them. Good luck everyone!</p>

<p>Waiting gets harder every day! It’s 5:40 and my mail still isn’t here… what is this nonsense?</p>

<p>DS was accepted to the College today.</p>

<p>Was very hard not to stalk the mail carrier as he came down our street. We did (all three of us, mom, dad, and DS) hover out on the front porch, in the rain, waiting for the poor chap to cross the lawn so we could grab the mail from him, probably faster than was polite.</p>

<p>Then, Publisher’s Clearinghouse-style happy dance. :)</p>
