So, how did the admissions process go for you ED-ers?

I applied ED I and received the admission letter todday! Anyone else?

Not to post immediately again, but I just wanted to let people know (if anyone else comes on) that there's a "Mt. Holyoke Class of 2011" group on facebook! So if you have a facebook be sure to search for the group and join so we can all get to know one another! Thanks + congrats to everyone!

hi sullgreg, where're you from?
i phoned the admission office and they said not all desicions have been sent out
mtholyoke2010, are you sure that all desicions have been sent?

congrats sullgreg!!!!!!

I'm in Massachusetts, so I may have received it more quickly. The other Facebook members are in Mass., too, so I"m sure your letter is coming!

wow!! congrats sullgreg....really i find facbook awesome. I am hoping to get a positive answer. The decision might get late here in Nepal. So keeping my fingers crossed....for now

congrats sullegreg, well...but I'm EDII

I got deferred :(

totoro88 do not despair. Last year my D applied ED, and was defered. She has just completed her first semester at MHC!

Just to let you know, she immediately wrote the admissions people a letter (mailed, not e-mailed) thanking them for deferring rather than rejecting her, and reiterating that MHC was still her #1 choice in schools. She also included some information about a newly acquired award.

She also immediately submitted 3 more "rolling admissions" applications, including one "guaranteed" admit (we live in So Cal) which helped her get through the initial feeling of not having the "big envelope" in her possession.

Best of luck, and let us know how it goes.

Thanks "just"aMom, this gives me some hope. I was already convinced that I wouldn't ever get in since the chances of getting admitted in the regular pool are even lower. I'll be sure to write a letter as well!

By the way, was the letter handwritten or typed?

I think it does not matter as long as your letter is signed and dated.

hmmm....i also got deferred....totoro88, where r u from?

I'm from New York.
