is one more selective than the other??????? any major differences?

bump!...............

please help :(

Vanderbilt says that their standards are the same for each, so, in theory no difference.

rumpity bumpity

when is the deadline for ED II?

check out the website for the deadline

I called the admissions office today for clarification on Ed I and II as my daughter is now thinking about changing her RD to ED II. I was told that she cannot do that as it is too late!?

I was thinking of changing my application from RD to Early Decion II too. Is there no way to do that? The deadline for EDII isn't up yet though, so should I call and ask if its doable?

I wish someone else would call to confirm what I was told as her answer just does not seem correct. The website indicates different information from what she told me, and I was assuming that the only 2 differences from RD were 1. it is binding and 2. you get a decision by February 15 instead of April 1.

The phones at OUA are frequently answered by student workers. Why don't you e-mail your admissions counselor directly to confirm this?

I found this response from Brad in the Admissions office from last year.....so unless they have changed things, you can switch.

"If you want to switch from Regular to EDII (or the other way for that matter) we need your request in writing. Please email your specific admissions counselor (listed on our website). Be sure to include your full name and your SS# or Birthday. For Reg to EDII switches, we will also need the Early Decision Signature Page. Until it's received your application will remain incomplete."

Happy New Year,
Brad
