I know you guys are out there. Let's chat!

Personally, I've already been reading the Pomona 2013 group on Facebook..I know, probs a bad idea...so I'm really really really hoping to get in

donde estais??

Haha I'm in that group. Good luck ED2! When do you hear back?

We find out February 15th... by snail mail though, so I don't know when exactly.
I'm SO nervous, but I have my fingers crossed... (it probably won't save me though)
A girl from my school got deferred EDI and she was very qualified - it was a big shock.

AHHHHHHH I can't wait, I just want to KNOW.
Btw, I'm from NYC :)

Ahh I'm nervous too. I wish I'd made up my mind earlier so I could've possibly been done by now!

Is there any news about what the admit rate was for EDI this year?

I applied ED2. Ahhhhhhh I'm so nervous. And kind of excited to find out.

Eep! We have a little over a month left! I thought the 15th was a Sunday, though. =/ So I'm not entirely sure how they plan to get snail mail to us on a Sunday.

That's funny because I remember the deadline (12/28) was a Sunday too and I paid for overnight shipping for nothing...

Have any of you received your username/password to check the progress of your application on the website?
I read in a post that we should receive an e-mail from Pomona giving us this information, so that we can keep track of any missing materials online...

Noooope. I wish.

EDIT: Post 47 haha

Same here! My parents wouldn't let me apply EDI le sigh but they came around in time for the second deadline. I haven't gotten any verification that they've received everything yet like one email promised, though. Have you? ):

Just got an e-mail that my app was complete

Same here! That e-mail just drowned me in hope again...

I got the "Missing Items" email for a teacher recommendation. I guess I have until this coming Thursday to get it submitted. The thing is, she did submit it because I put a postcard in it for Pomona to send back once they got it. I got the postcard back, but I guess they lost the rec somehow.
So I'm resending it and faxing it. Wonderful!

Ahhhhh 18ish days!!! I'm getting nervous. I got a verification email too though, yay. When do they start mailing out decisions??? I've heard if you get in, you'll get one before the actual day they say you'll get it.... I guess it's dumb to start checking the mail now though. :P

Two weeks, guys!!

D: nervous

so since the fifteenth is a sunday, does that mean we will probably get our letters by the 13th (friday - oh no I guess that's supposed to be bad luck) or monday the 16th? I hope its friday..I'm not that superstitious..

Because acceptance letters are sent priority mail, you could get them before the published notification date. On the other hand, if the letter is late, that doesn't necessarily mean a rejection either.

Good luck, all!

ACK I'm so nervous ):
I called in to ask them if they even got my missing recommendation (third time sending it in, sigh.) and they said that they don't notify us. Apparently they just stick in in our files.
So I have no idea if I even have a complete application.
URGH.

Good luck everyone, come join the facebook group to meet us ED1-ers in less than 2 weeks!
Btw, ED1 was being "deliberated on" until the Friday before Monday, December 15, so don't get too excited about early notifications. But for the record, east coast kids got theirs on the 15th, but a lot of people didnt get it for days after.

See you all soon!
