EDII or RD to Stern/ Chances for Cornell

I'm confused as to whether I should apply EDII to NYU Stern. I really want to go there, but I don't want to bind myself in case I get into a better school. I'm applying to Cornell and UVA, and USC-Marshall <--- top 4 choices. And some other schools that I'm not worried about.

What are my chances for Cornell (1st choice Government, 2nd choice Economics)? Should I apply RD to Stern and hope that I get into Cornell, or just screw it and apply EDII to Stern?

I'm an Asian Indian female living in Delaware that goes to a not super competitive public high school, but my current class is unusually good, with a whole bunch of people getting accepted into Ivies already.

Hobbies:
- very passionate about dance (bollywood and kpop; minimal formal training but i perform for cultural charity events and cultural shows) there aren't any places for learning indian and hip hop dance where i live, so i teach myself. wrote my commonapp essay on how dance uncovered my passion for culture and how international business would allow me to pursue everything i want in life blahblah

I didn't list my AP scores on my app because some of them are bad and the other ones are average, so I didn't want to send some and not others. Better just not to send them at all.

Oh yeah and my senior schedule is:
AP Biology
Chinese 2
AP Spanish
AP Physics
AP Literature
AP Statistics

If you are afraid of getting bound down, don’t apply ED! you’ll regret it :frowning:
I think you should just go with regular for stern. You have a shot at cornell
Good luck!
Chance back?

Thanks :D

Really even with my low gpa and not sending in ap scores?

The only reason I’m afraid of getting bound down is because my best friend got into Wharton and everyone in my family and friend circle always compares me to her since our stats are pretty much the same except for my slacker gpa (I tend to keep that a secret). I’m afraid people won’t respect me if I don’t go somewhere prestigious, so if I have a chance of getting into Cornell (A&S or ILR), I don’t want to not be able to take the opportunity.

But at the same time, I’m scared that if I don’t apply early to Stern, I won’t even get in there.

bumpp can anyone help?

I would ED2. Getting into just any one of those colleges would be great. Not to mention due to the GPA, there’s still a large chance of rejection from both.

This isn’t all that important, but I just got rejected from Cornell ED with similar stats 3.5/2300. But good luck.

Do you think it would be a reach to get into Stern with regular decision? I really want to go to Cornell, but if there’s almost no chance of me getting in, I don’t want to ruin my chances for Stern too.

i think you have a decent shot at stern, I don’t know much about cornell, but you do have a competitive sat score

I am applying rd to stern as well, now i have stats lower than yours :/
