tufts is my dream school. My current highest sat score is a 1960 (660M, 620 V, 680W) while my sat IIs are chem 610, mathI, 600, u.s. history 560 (yeah..i know). I'm retaking the december sat I and the IIs in january...

should i apply EDII with hope that my sat I score will increase to a 1350 (M and V), and submit my january satII scores in the event that i'm deferred, or should i just wait and apply RD, so i can send my january satII scores?

Hmm, that's a good question. I guess I would rephrase your question like this: "What will help me more -- the possibility of better SAT scores or showing my commitment to Tufts as a my first choice by applying ED?"

I would think applying ED would help you more. Plus, if you don't get in, there's a chance you could be deferred instead of denied, in which case, if your SAT scores did go up, you can send them for the RD round. And if you do get deferred, they still know you applied ED so they know Tufts is still (probably) your no. 1 choice.

But let's see what the others have to say. Guys?
