Which would you prefer to study abroad at???

You’re really going to have to be more specific than that. Edinburgh and Manchester are very different universities, and no one on this board is going to have experiences with both of them.

Edinburgh. Much nicer city and everyone has a funny accent.

^

This. 10char.

Edinburgh - I think there is more to do and you’ll also be close to St. Andrew’s.

Edinburgh has many different options for programs so you should check out all the possibilities.

It looks like Edinburgh has better ratings than Manchester and they also have many more reviews from past students.

Edinburgh is lovely. Manchester is blah (no offense - I have lived there.)

haha nice thanks for the insight

Edinburgh 5 vs Manchester 0 haha

Edinburgh, nae doubt aboot it.

I second Edinburgh everything else being equal.

How many of you have actually studied or lived in either of the cities? From the responses, I can say for certain one of you have.

What are you all factoring your opinions on, then? Manchester is a nice city and a great university; certainly the rival of Edinburgh in several subjects. It is a city that makes the rest of England and Scotland easily accessible.

Don’t get me wrong; I love Edinburgh. But to blindly recommend it with no idea what the OP is studying, or what they want to get out of study abroad is well stupid.
