Course load seems okay - is 5 normal for your school? Mine seems to hover between 6 and 7 courses, but then again, it’s almost all AP.

You seem to have a focus on politics and debating, with the rest of the ECs being good but somewhat random. What are you looking for at JHU? If it isnt premed, could it politics? If so, and if you focused in on that, you would probably stand a good chance.

Chance back?

Duly noted.

Yeah we are allowed to have 5 academic classes in our school, and then study hall and gym. You also are required to take an art elective sometime in these 4 years, and because I have yet to do so, I’m also enrolled in Ceramics and Sculpting. (There’s my hook).

And yeah, social sciences/pre-law is what I am currently considering.

lol at the ceramic hook.
Anyway, I think you have a decent chance (you are on the stronger side as far as applicant goes), GPA could be a bit better, SAT’s are excellent. and EC’s are focused, nice awards also.

Chance me back? Not as impressive, but I got some stuff about the same

I attend high school in Maryland at a school that frequently sends student to JHU, and I myself will be applying, so I have a relatively high level of understanding of its admission process. In terms of test scores…excellent. Your SATs and predicted SAT II scores are on or above par for any school, including JHU. The average SAT I at JHU is around a 2080-2100 so you are well above average. Your ECs seem strong, yet, like some have said, relatively narrow in scope. It may be too late to attempt to broaden them, so the only suggestions I could give would be to maintain a rigorous schedule while yielding effective grades and AP scores, especially in your math and science class and write strong essays and receive strong teacher recs. I would say you have a very high chance for acceptance, especially if you apply ED and display your desire to attend.

I would say Johns Hopkins might be a match for you if you do ED, quite a good shot in my opinion.
