I wonder...is it possible to send in/mail in an edited version of the optional supplement essay ? :|

i sent the whole app in yesterday but just heard today that harvard doesn't do double majors (is that true ??). my essay is hinged on my looking at a double major and my dual interests in English / Bio ... ughh

Don't worry about it. Harvard doesn't do double majors per se, but they do allow joint concentrations (one major that overlaps with both your areas of interest). I'm sure your admissions officer will know what you mean. After all, "a double major in English and Biology" sounds mighty similar to "a joint concentration in English and Biology."

just in general, though, if i wanted to tweak other bits of an essay i already sent it..is it possible to send in a revised copy somehow ? or would that be "looked down upon" ?

You can send in a revised copy with no penalty, but realize that Harvard's online application tracking system won't record whether the admissions office has received it. It's considered "additional information" if it's sent in after your main application package.

I pretty much have the same question...
Do you guys think Harvard will let me change my supplemental essay if I contact them? Or is it not even worth trying..? I don't want to email the new essay as separate "additional information".
