Does being the Editor in Chief of your school newspaper mean anything?
and did anyone here go to AAJA summer camp last year?

Well, it's definitely a good thing for colleges to see since it shows that you are dedicated to your paper (in order to get to that position) and that you are passionate about it. However, it is also a fairly common position of applicants if you are applying to top colleges.

Sure it's a great thing to put on an application. It's not a hook or anything though - think of the thousands of high schools and consider that each one has its own Editor and Chief. If you can find a way to demonstrate a unique passion for journalism though, it could be a great asset.
