Education at UPenn

This question is for the people who are currently attending UPenn or have already graduated from UPenn. I'm trying to learn more about a couple colleges I liked to see where I would fit in best (UPenn is one of the colleges).

What do you think makes UPenn academically unique? How do you think UPenn is better than other Ivies / Ivy-equivalents, in terms of academics and courses?

I will be applying to the Engineering school so information about academics there and at UPenn in general would be a big help to me. Thanks in advance.

AKA please write my Penn essay for me

Way to be so cynical... I finished all my essays almost a month ago. When I visited I talked to some students and they really liked the research opportunities at UPenn...thats really what interested me. So I talked about the the research done at UPenn and how I am interested in continuing my research at UPenn.

My question is just for my knowledge because I've visited many of the top universities, but I haven't been able to distinguish what makes one better or worse academically. I know that students will get a good education at any top university. I was just curious how people felt UPenn was better.

If you yourself can't distinguish it, how can we help you then?

Go to their website, compare it with other colleges.

For most of us on this forum, we easily compared and found that Penn was our one and only.
You have to do it the same for yourself. Hearsay just doesn't cut it.

Ok I understand. I guess if I can't see why Penn is better than the other colleges that I'm comparing it to, Penn is not a good fit for me. Thanks Zester.

I was drawn to Penn by its breadth of education for undergrads. What other Ivy has business, nursing, engineering and liberal arts schools, all at the undergrad level, and lets its undergrads explore freely between them?
