Education-Honors vs. Activities-Honors

<p>There's a section in the CommonApp under Education for five Academic Honors and another under Activities (ten spaces) with annoyingly short boxes for "Details, honors won...". I'm having a bit of trouble knowing what exactly demarcates "academic" from "activity" and vice-versa, and how to record honors in the correct place. </p>

<p>For example, let's say I've been doing research for a while--I'd put that under one of my activities. But if I were recognized as a Siemens Semifinalist, would I put this under the "Details, honors won..." further down the Activities section, or would I record it under Honors of the Education section, or both?</p>

<p>Perhaps the answer is really obvious--in that case, oops haha</p>

<p>Hmm… I would be tempted to put it under bothboth, since it’s an academic award for an activity (especially because putting it under the honours section would allow you to highlight it more), but you’ll want a second opinion. Congratulations!</p>
