Educational Preparation Programs??? For UC. Help!

On the UC application for one of the activities sections it says this:

The University is interested in whether you have participated in programs that help students prepare for college by providing information, counseling, tutoring and other services.
If you have participated in any of the educational preparation programs listed in the dropdown menu, select the program, briefly describe your participation and enter the average hours per week and weeks per year you were involved since ninth grade. If you have participated in a program that is not listed, select "Other" and specify the name of the program in the space provided.
To provide admission evaluators with more information about your involvement, you may discuss the scope of your participation in your personal statement.

OK...I have never even heard of any of the programs on the dropdown menu, and I don't live a sheltered life. EEK. I did participate in CTY (Johns Hopkins)when I was younger but their "camps" were so expensive I couldnt go even though I qualified. So my question is: Is it OK to leave this section blank? I don't want to make anything up.

I'm almost done and this one has me stumped.

Any advice????

I've never done any educational programs either, mainly because of the ridiculous $1000+ costs. I think it's okay if you leave it blank. Some kids have never held a job. Not every kid will have this or volunteering, etc filled out.

Do they want us to include test prep programs or educational conferences that specialize in leadership????
