EE/CE trade-off

Currently, I'm a sophomore majoring in CompE and I'm considering switching to EE (pretty much overlap till my senior year). Programming skills are so and so but I do enjoy it. Not too great with physics either(though I've worked for it and made the grade) but I'm pretty good in math. Signals seem pretty interesting given the amount of math required. So, I'm contemplating about taking courses in DSP.

I've narrowed my options to two:-

1)Switch to EE and take a few boring courses like elec and mag fields, elec properties of materials etc. I'd have to take 4 electives(from CompE(overlap thats a +), electronics and power) and 3 pertaining to my concentration which is DSP. My senior design project would involve my conc.

2)Continue with CompE and take two or three extra courses pertaining to signals. My senior proj. will however involve hardware concepts which I'm not sure I like.

What do you recommend? Giving a third option is more than welcome.

I'd also like to know how EE/CE job prospects for graduates from A&M are?

Signals is a fun class. Semiconductors (as an EE would take) is very low-level and isn't all that bad. I'll be taking EM next semester, so I can't speak on that yet.

You can still take DSP as a CE. Do what interests you. It really doesn't matter if you're out in industry, unless you do specific EM work (were an EE would be more suitable).

quick bump.
