Daughter got a “possible.” She’s pretty upset about it but looking at some of the others’ results and stats I am not overly disappointed. Just more waiting.

Likely!!! I’m soo excited! I still can’t believe it. Wellesley is amazing and I am so grateful to be given this opportunity

Likely and very excited!!

Curbyourfear, what part of Texas are you from? I’m from Austin and the rep said that not many Texans consider or even apply to Wellesley.

Likely!
Such a relief. I’m trying not to celebrate until the letter in late march though : )
Congratulations all! And to the possibles and the unlikelys, I’m sorry. Don’t feel too down. ) :

Likely! Such a sense of relief.

For my D:
Ecstatic about the Likely!

likely. its the first good school i’ve gotten into so far so i’m happy

possible :expressionless: kinda bummed, but congrats to everyone else! and yeah, the admissions counselor that spoke when i visited said that if you get a likely, you’re basically in

I was at rehearsal, and right before 4:00 the director gave us all a 10 min break

I went and hid in the dressing room with my laptop, ready to face the worst alone and then i saw…

LIKELY

so I ran out with my laptop to tell the director cuz he’s like a second father to me and the whole cast was in the theatre and overheard and everyone cheered for me and omigod it was such an amazing moment.

I keep getting an error saying that the web page is unavailable! and i don’t even think i have a mywellesley account! where are you people finding this stuff?

Likely! So happy!

D is a '12 after a “possible” so do not dispair, they are looking to round out the class first with the “likely” Come late March, you will have many choices.

Another “Likely” So excited and happy.

Texangirl77,

I’m from Texas, too!
But I live about 10 minutes from the Mexican border : p
I was so glad that I recieved a likely cause that means there’s a good chance I won’t have to go to my safety…UT Austin! Lol

and Wellesley seems so amazing : DD

Yes, I finally found out my account information. Another LIKELY. :D

Hi
I am from the bay area in California and attend one of the top 100 schools in the nation. I am in the top 20% of my class with decent testing scores. I interviewed and as a musician (I’m going to carnegie hall in a week!) sent in resumes and a recording of my work. However, I only received a “possible” letter and was wondering if I should submit even more advanced samples as well as a letter from my band director?

^I definitely would! Carnegie Hall is amazing (congratulations!) and it’s great to let them know what you’re into. But maybe show them a different side of you?
I would send in the samples as well as something else representing you. Good luck!

Have you told them that you’re going to Carnegie Hall? That could be a nice update. New musical samples probably aren’t necessary. If they’ve sent off the first ones to people in the music department they know your abilities are high and might not want to go through the process again.

To all of you with “possibles” - two years ago my D was one of you; then decision time she ended up being waitlisted. She was fortunate and her year they admitted approx. 30 students off the waitlist and she loves being a student at Wellesley. I highly encourage you to submit additional information with any honors/recognitions/achievements since your original application; also I think it will help you if you let Wellesley know of your continued interest.

I’m a Nat’l Merit Finalist, published author, president of 2 clubs, 3.9+ GPA, ~15 AP classes, many, many more extra cirriculars, most notably several graduate-level internships at the national level, higher level college courses, fluent in 3 languages (not including English), had an alleged really good essay, great recs. Did an interview. Got merit scholarships to more competitive colleges.

I got an “unlikely.” Something’s not adding up here. Does anyone understand why I most likely got rejected? I don’t know what I did. I know if colleges are unsure of applicants, they ask them questions. Why am I the only rejection that’s posted on here too…?
