EE vs Operations Research Major? Help!

I'm trying to decide between the two. EE is a very marketable degree, and it's kind of cool learning how most of our appliances and technology work. It has a HUGE workload though.

OR has a lot of the same classes as EE, but no papers or labs. It seems like it's less marketable, too.

Job prospects straight out of college don't matter because I go to a military academy and am guarenteed a job after graduation. I want to go to flight school, but it's extremely competitive.

So...do you think EE or OR is better for me? Thanks!

I suppose higher GPA is the more important factor for flight school? Ask on here: [Air Force OTS :: OTS Foundation Portal](<a href=“Air Force Officer Training School: Forging Leaders in the Skies - Air Force OTS”>Air Force Officer Training School: Forging Leaders in the Skies - Air Force OTS)

Just to add more info for your confusion (I know, I am not helping), having a major in O.R. would qualify you for graduate Systems Engineering programs…which the AFIT is very well-known for.

The thing with Systems Engineering is that you can specialize in just about any engineering area, including EE.
