Hey I’m going to UCLA next year, class of 2012, and I’m planning on majoring in electrical engineering. I have several questions.

How are the electrical engineering major and the physics major similar and different with regard to how the respective courses are structured and taught (specifically at UCLA)? Are some people much better at/enjoy one much more than the other?

Describe some (more than one) “typical” EE students.

Is there an entrepreneurial culture?/Are there excellent opportunities for internships/full-time jobs in startup companies? From what I’ve heard (from an authoritative poster on CC) Stanford is really strong in this respect, how does HSSEAS stack up?

Thanks a lot!
