Is any oncoming freshmen planning to major in EECS and Business?

Once upon a time a lot of students majored in EECS and minored in Business. Why this phenomenon? because taking Business classes are great for GPA boosting. Average GPA for business classes are 3.7 whereas average lower div GPA for EECS is 2.7.
Berkeley does not allow minor in Business anymore (what a shame) although minor in Business does not do jack for any EECS graduate except bringing up their GPA.
Major in both will be tough because you only have 9 semesters to graduate and you need to fulfill both requirements. Not impossible to do, but if you want a job in EECS, you'll have to have way more than 5 upper division courses requirement. In the end, you might not be proficient at either.

middsmith, Why would you say that....Are Business classes easy still?

i think what hes getting at is that its nearly impossible for non-haas students to get into business classes

For EECS students, business classes are relatively easier. Also, business classes are somewhat grade-inflated.

Oh...thanks for the information

There are always a few EECS/Business doubles. I've seen some of them in my classes, but there aren't many Engineering/Business doubles since so many of the classes required for that double are weeders.
