I feel like I'm a match, but I've never been too sure.
Essays I felt like were pretty strong; first one was about my curiosity/passion for engineering and second one was about the appreciated creativity in music</p>

<p>Hi … Your stats are very similar to my son’s (who is a current freshman, EECS), but slightly better. Awards are comparable, but he was not an AP Scholar of any kind (so again, better). It’s hard to compare ECs because you are very musical and he was more athletic (but not nearly a recruited athlete … just a regular guy who liked to run … team captain and all that, but no national titles). I’d probably give your ECs a slight edge. For the 2014–15 academic year, the College of Engineering received more than 15,000 freshman applications and 9.7 percent were admitted. EECS is even lower than that, so even the best students aren’t guaranteed admission. You are a very strong candidate, though. You’ve done all the right things to get in. Good luck! <p>You’re fine. UCs aren’t as holistic as other schools so your stats are definitely good enough to get you in. I’ve had friends get in with much lower stats and you can always switch into the major. I got in to EECS as a Regents scholar with similar stats, though being a girl helps in that case. </p>

Yes, you are definitely in. But you will need to interview for the Regents.
