EECS or CS?

Hey guys! I am going to attend a community college in the bay area and I am interested in EECS and CS but not sure which one to choose. Anyone that can share some advice on which major is better, thank you. I have taken CS courses and enjoyed them but never and EE course. Also, my dream is to transfer to UC Berkeley for one of the those programs. If you guys have any knowledge on which community college is good in the bay area that would be nice too. Thank you!

UCB EECS has more physics and math requirements, but admission is direct to major. UCB L&S CS does not admit directly to major (even for transfers); after transfer, students need to complete the remaining CS prerequisites with a 3.3 GPA to enter the major.

Both are extremely competitive for transfer admission.

You can use http://www.assist.org to check which CCs cover the needed courses best. Laney and Diablo Valley may have better coverage than most for UCB EECS and L&S CS. But check coverage for CS at other UCs and CSUs.
