Hello. I am currently a junior interested in applying to Berkeley for EECS next year. I was just wondering if those of you who have gotten accepted or are currently enrolled in EECS can post your brief high school stats, so I can see how I match up.

Also, I heard that it may be less risky(maybe even easier) to apply into some major just to get into Berkeley and then switch into EECS. How probable is this? What is the best way to apply to Berkeley for EECS?

Thanks a lot for your time.

if you want to be an engineer, apply for a major within the college of engineering...don't apply for another major just because you think it's easier to get in that way. even if you get admitted to the university as, let's say, an intended sociology major within the college of letters & science, that is in no way a guarantee that you will be able to switch into the college of engineering...they are still just as selective and don't grant all requests to switch. so really, the best way to apply for EECS or any other engineering is to apply for EECS and not try any of those roundabout strategies.
