I'm going to be a freshmen EECS this fall so I'm wondering if current or future EECS students can post their freshmen(or sophomore) schedules so I have a better idea when I plan my own.

It'd also great if you can give some feedback about the schedule on how well you did in the class, how much effort/work did you put into it, and how was the professor you had. This would be a great help to me.

So far, I've decided on taking

Math 53
Physics 7B
CS61B

I'll add some later. How does it sound so far?

I came in with lots of APs and transfer credit (though, as a freshman). My schedule was: CS61A + Physics 7B + Math55 + 2 units research.

It seems like you have a fairly typical schedule, except why are you taking 61B instead of 61A? Remember, AP Computer Science AB only gets you out of 61B, but not 61A.

MATH53 is a good place to start if you got a 5 on AP Calculus BC and have a solid understanding.

As for the classes for the future semesters, don’t worry about it for now. Things will change, and it’s best that you just focus on this immediate semester.

CS61A
CS70 (assuming I did alright on my diff eq final yesterday; otherwise, Math 54)
Physics 7A
History 30A? Found it on CourseRank, seemed interesting.

Then I’m thinking about skipping 61B in the spring with my AP credit…thoughts?

Looks like I’ll be taking Physics 7A after the Physics C AP test today. I didn’t come close to getting a five which is needed to skip 7A. Gotta face those horrible curves at berkeley!

Physics 7A
Math 53
CS61A
English or history course

Do you think the work load is alright for these combination? Any professors you guys want to recommend? I tried to look on Courserank, but they don’t have much info on who’s gonna be teaching in the fall.

ChickenWing, I thought I bombed Physics C last year, but I ended up doing well. I wouldn’t be 100% that you won’t get 5s on both of them. The curve is extremely lenient

I was talking to people at Cal Day, and they said that they’re going to have something different than CS70 fall semester, something more applicable to EE.

Maybe they were referring to a different class, but I’m not sure.
