So I just reviewed my eFAN and noticed that my gift aid from the school is not listed. Does this mean that I no longer get the 7,### from the school? I do see that my cal grant A is listed on the eFAN and the rest is loans. I'm a bit confused and I guess I'll just wait til Monday to call the admissions office but I just wanted to see how other eFANS are coming out.. in my ePAL it said UCLA was giving me gift aid and now my eFAN does not have it listed. Help?

Which loans are good to take out again?

Your gift aid might have been rescinded because of the budget crisis, but call the admission office to make sure. Subsidized loans are the good ones because interest does not accrue until 6 months after you graduate, whereas on unsubsidized loans, interest starts accruing the minute the money is disbursed to the school.

Does anyone know when these EFan are due ?

are there still people who haven’t received their eFANS yet?

mine isnt up yet… or idk how to check it
how do u check it? :/

Yeah I don’t have mine yet either.

i wonder why…
can u see ur awards though?
cuz i can’t see anything
all there is is the doc tracking and my regents scholarship award thing…
though idk if its official…
:/

I’m going to be a second year so I don’t have a PAL. Usually your eFAN is the same as your PAL though. They did say some awards would be late.

oh well…
I hope they put it up soon :/

u can check from MY UCLA, link Financial Aid Status.

Yay, my scholarship went up by $500 for the year! Thanks for letting me know that it’s up!

im getting $7000 more for my ucla scholarship! :D

anyone know when the eFAN is due? And what about the Cal Grants…so is the budget crisis going to affect us this year or not? I’m confused.

Awe man, I got $200 less aid in grant and I have to get $2000 more in loans, and I have to get a unsubsidized loans Lame.

my original report showed the cal grant…but now the efan doesn’t show any money coming in from the cal grant…my sister(who is gonna be a senior this year at ucla) signed in to view her efan and cal grant was listed soooooooooooo

i have a feeling we’re not getting the cal grant this yr

Sawadeska, you are ok at least for 2009-10. See statement from UCLA. [University of California - UC Newsroom | UC statement on Cal Grant award funding](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/article/21523)

hereicome09, did you get a University Grant instead of the Cal Grant? See article from UCLA. [University of California - UC Newsroom | UC statement on Cal Grant award funding](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/article/21523)

i got $12k for ucla scholarship and none for calgrant. You get one or the other, not both like stated in the provisional estimate.

i got almost 4000 in ucla scholarship and cal grant A, so it’s possible to get both

They lower one if you get the other. For instance, on my ePAL they gave me 12k ucla scholarship, and that got lowered to 4 k when cal grant was placed into the thing.

When accepting the eFAN they say something about stafford lenders. What’s this about? My sister, who goes to ucr, didn’t have to deal with these lenders. Reading thorugh them, discovery is the best on the list right?
