EFC and Tuition

How will my EFC directly offset how much tuition I will have to pay? My EFC is $264.

School 1: Concordia University, Irvine
Tuition: $18,800, Housing $4670, Board: $2450 - Total: $25,920
Note: I know I qualify for either a $5,000 or an $8,000 merit scholarship at Concordia. However, my award is not guaranteed as of this moment.

School 2: Cal State Long Beach
Fees (aka tuition): $2658, Room and Board $6380 - Total $9,038

Thank you.

It is up to the school how they offer aid. A low EFC should mean you qualify for more aid, but that could be all loans, or they could "gap" you, not give you all that you need. You will have to see what the schools offer.
