The FAFSA adjustment for having two kids in college is going away starting with the 2023-2024 academic year, I believe. @kelsmom can clarify.
At this point…you file your financial aid application forms for the upcoming year, and perhaps your need based aid will be adjusted a little.
Yes it’s my understanding that this upcoming academic year is the last year where having two in college will be factored into the efc. I am operating under the assumption that our efc will effectively be doubled the year one is a senior and another is a freshman, but I’d love to hear that I’m wrong.
Very likely for your FAFSA EFC which is changing to SAI at some point too. BUT no one knows how schools will handle this in terms of awarding their institutional need based aid.
