So my EFC is 00000 on my SARS and am confused about the following:

In my City Tech acceptance form, it says

My EFC is $3,000 or less. Attached is a copy of my SAR.

which I have to mark if it applies to me.

Do I check that or not? My efc is 00000 so does that means my efc is 3,000 or less?

Also on the SARs it says :

Based on your EFC of 00000, you may be eligible to receive a Federal Pell Grant of up to $5,550 for the 2013-2014 school year provided you have not met or exceeded the lifetime limit established for the Federal Pell Grant program.

If you have a 0 EFC, you will receive full Pell $5550

You could receive up to $5000 in TAP if you attend a 4 year program (up to the cost of tuition at CC if you attend a 2 year CUNY program)

By your EFC being 3k or less, you will not have to submit a deposit to hold your spot.

So I don’t have to pay the $100 commitment deposit right?

All I have to do is check that I accept the offer of admission and attach my SARS correct?

Yes.

Depending on your regents scores, you may have to either take the CUNY placement test or retake your regents for a higher grade.

Yeah they told me I have to take a CUNY placement test. If I pass my alegebra regents this year with a grade higher than a 80, would I have to take that tesT?

I passed the algebra regents with a 77 and the only one I passed. English regents was a 85 so math is the only concern.

You must get at least an 80 on the algebra. You may also need to take geometry for a 65 to be exempt from the placement test
