EFC/QB question

I'm not sure if it is 0, so do all the schools on Questbridge only consider students with EFC of 0, or if it isn't 0, would some of the aid be reduced and thus, the "full tuition" and boarding be reduced?

Do you mean for the Match or regular decision? Some, but not all, of the schools say they will only match with zero EFC. QB specifies that the school’s financial aid for all Match recipients is full tuition, room and board.

For regular decision, the schools apply their own financial aid formula. Most are very generous, but that doesn’t guarantee a full ride.

I’m going to do the match. Yeah, I noticed on some that only EFC = 0 will be considered. I’m not sure what our EFC is, however.

Good luck in the Match, but remember that there are only a relatively few matches - lots more QB applicants get accepted into those great QB schools by regular decision.

And I hope you’re going to work on the financial stuff soon, because there’s not a lot of time between when finalists are announced and all the paperwork is due.

Yeah thanks. I’m planning to do 3-4 schools, and have common app, financial stuff, etc. It is quite difficult with the 6 ap schedule I’m taking, but hopefully, the EFC is 0, so I meet the requirements and actually have a chance.
