<p>I live in an expensive metro area too but made the decision to save and invest in something other than real estate. Because I have cash/securities I am expected to spend it but the home owner wants a pass. Trust me I live in as small and crummy a dwelling as you do. The schools give you a better deal than they give a guy like me.</p>
