Effect of a D (1st sem.)

<p>Since you do have extenuating circumstances, usually that would be a sufficient reason. I suggest emailing the schools you want to go to, and explain that, because it would be a bit unfair to jeopardize your admissions if that really was the case (note there is a chance they'll ask for verification)</p>

<p>Thanks. I called UCSB the day after i knew i had a "D" and admissions told me that they don't use senior grades to determine admissions(thats why you don't submit transcripts till after you have been admitted), but she could not tell me anything about my admission being withdrawn if I were to be accepted because my admissions officer was on vacation. My consoler also said it would be in my best interest not to say anything to colleges because its easier to get rejected than rescended w/ reason. Anyone else have any advise/tips?</p>
