I’m currently in an engineering physics class, but after changing my major, it’s no longer a class that I need to graduate. I’m in danger of failing it, so I was wondering if it would be better on my transcript to take a W or get a D (or potentially C).
Take a W. The W won’t impact on your GPA and as long as you are not intending to go to graduate school in physics you should be fine. But, a D will impact on your GPA and so will impact on applications to where ever…
I agree…one W is no big deal but a D sure is. Make sure when the withdrawal date is though! Make sure you are still full time (12 credits) after you W. Talk to your academic adviser first.
