I have a digital sound recorder and I have the sparknotes 1000 vocabulary flashcards. I study 20 words a night and memorize them, then I record them and I go to sleep with them playing in my head. I do the same for the next 5 days. I may sometimes learn 40 words if I dont have much to do. At the end of the week I have around 200 words I have memorized...then I record all of them and its about a 20-30 minute tape session when recorded and I sleep on it. Anyone else do something similar to this and actually gets good results? Like able to remember the words and stuff...

I have done something similiar, which I have been practicing since I was small.

Instead of using tape recorder, I use notecards. I have them stick all over my room. When I go to sleep, I would look around those notecards and try to memorize as much as I can. I even go to sleep with my mouth murmuring about these things. The first thingsI see when I wake up are the notecards, sticking on the wall.

I did fairly well with my technique as far as memorizing is concerned. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody, because it would make you a geek, just like me. :)
