I know this is probably a silly question, but midterm grades came out for my school today and I got an A-. It’s my first A- since freshman year. Will colleges I applied RD look down upon this because I’ve maintained all A’s prior to senior year and this is showing a slight decrease in performance?
No D’s or F’s. You are OK.
To clarify, I applied to Ivy League schools and schools of similar calibar eg Stanford, MIT. Still OK?
Jeez. Just stop. I know several people who got into Ivies and Stanford who had B’s. I have B’s and I’m applying to Ivies, etc. you’re fine
@Hawkace legitimate question: do you know how many B’s they had?
@marshmallowpop The one who got into Stanford had like 2 B’s, I believe. The one who got into Princeton had like 2-3 B’s.
@Hawkace THERE’S HOPE AFTER ALLL
I’ve been told that Harvard weights A- as 3.66 instead of 4.0. Will this drop in GPA for my Midyear Report negatively affect my chances?
Yes, you’re completely screwed. I’d suggest community college.
@daduna no need to blatantly rude to someone who is geniunely concerned. Do they not teach general etiquette or manners at the community college you attend?
@kyungshin
He was attempting to be humorous based on the general attitude of some College Confidential posters
Most straight A students would be smart enough to realize that this is an unrealistic concern.
