Effects of retaking AP tests

Hi people

If you decide to take the same AP test twice, will that affect your college application? I got a two on last year's AP English Lang/Comp test but I'm 95% sure it was because of a poor testing environment. I want to take it again this year but since I haven't reviewed much of the material in the Lang/Comp curriculum, I'm afraid that I might get a two again. Will that ruin my application if colleges see that there was no change in the AP test score over the span of 1 year?

Thanks for your advice

Seeing as colleges don't see your actual AP test score unless you give it to them, it wouldn't make that big of a difference. The only benefit I could see would be better chances at college credit - a two is not likely to get you out of any classes, but a five probably will.
