Effects of Withdrawal on Transfer App?

Hi I am currently a freshman at Emory and I plan to apply to transfer as a rising sophomore to U of Notre Dame and Duke (entering fall 2014). Before I get into my predicament, these are the classes I am taking at Emory:

Bio 141 4 credits
Arabic 101 5 credits
French 203 4 credits
Intro to Middle East 3 credits
Health 100 1 credit
PACE (some Emory general ed thing) 1 credit
TOTAL: 18 credits

Now, this post focuses on my bio 141 class. I do not plan on becoming a bio major or taking the path of pre-med. I took the bio 141 class because I wanted to fulfill an Emory general ed requirement where you have to take at least one class with a lab component. Little did I know that there is a class offered second semester called bio 102 for non-science majors. Anyways, I got a 63 on my first midterm in bio 141, and I am convinced this class will bring my GPA down. I have four tests left that I literally have to ace to balance out my grade in the class. Therefore, I've pondered dropping the class to save my GPA. If I do drop the class though, that would leave me with 14 credits. On the other hand, I am doing very very well in my other classes. It is just bio 141 that is pulling me down.

So the question is, should I drop it? Or should I keep it and just study my butt off but with the possibility of lowering my GPA. And how would this look on a transfer application? I know they still ask for my standardized test scores, and those weren't very high. I am just weary of all the things that could count against me.
