<p>Which does eveyone prefer for mattress padding - egg carton padding or memory foam?

<p>Memory foam. I love memory foam everything. Get a memory foam pillow as well…Heaven!</p>
<p>Memory foam. No question. I usually get mine from overstock.com since all their sizes cost the same, and then cut it down to size and use the excess either to double the thickness (back when i was on a twin bed) or for pillows.</p>

<p>Egg carton is easily the best. Memory foam gets hot and flat, while convoluted foam padding breathes and doesn’t dent as quickly.</p>
<p>If you want a really comfy bed go with an egg carton and a mattress pad.</p>
<p>Maybe cheap or old memory foam gets hot and flat, but I used the same memory foam matress topper for two years and it never flattened. I also haven’t had any problems with heat, and I haven’t had air conditioning in 3 years.</p>
<p>I prefer the pillow top mattress covers filled with down or something else plushy. It never gets flat or too hot. I found one in the clearance aisle at Target about a year ago. It’s heavenly to sleep on. I can’t stand the ripples in the egg carton ones.</p>
<p>Kohls has a memfoam egg crate pad which was 39.99 a couple of weeks of. Best of both worlds :)</p>
<p>I got a feather bed mattress topper the other day at Kohls. I slept on it the other night and it was like sleeping on a cloud. But if you already have it narrowed down to memory foam and egg crate, go for the memory foam. It may be more expensive but it will probably last you all 4 years. Plus it is more comfortable.</p>
<p>I haven’t seen the feather bed mattress toppers anywhere, I will try Kohls. Sounds like that could be good. It looks like more people prefer the memory foam if I can find it.</p>

<p>Also, I have an egg crate foam thing that I got a long time ago that is pretty comfortable. If I didn’t have that already I’d probably buy memory foam, though.</p>

<p>my 20 dollar egg carton from bed bath and beyond was a great investment. it’s comfortable enough and you don’t like SINK in it like with memory foam. definitely get at least one. i have the egg carton and a mattress pad ^_^</p>

<p>I went with memory foam that I’m going to buy from Costco. Its 2.5" and a little pricey but its what we have at home and it feels like heaven.</p>

<p>I have been told the mattress is good but EXPENSIVE - i think it was $150 or something like that (I am unsure, but i think I remember reading it somewhere)</p>
