<p>At some point of my college search/selection/admission process, i thought I was THE only Egyptian/Arab around here, but I came across one or two of my kind, and it felt so awesome to know that I am going to meet people 5000 miles away when we actually lived 30 mins apart.. :D

I am an Egyptian girl coming from a public school & a low-income family. I applied to MIT, uPenn, mount Holyoke, Drexel and st.john's.
I got accepted to Drexel and st.johns & waitlisted @ mt.Holyoke
..Goin to Drexel next fall.

Since I got tons of rejections, Not going anywhere. WELCOME GAP YEAR or the possibility of enrolling somewhere in the Arab world and then reapply to US next year, let’s see how things go.</p>

Got in at Williams, waitlisted at uchicago, and rejected from the others.
