What happens if I do a remote upgrade for my ID instead of in person? Will it impact getting my student ID card at orientation or cause any problems registering for classes? I have terrible anxiety and if I could just go ahead and handle this now by myself rather than at orientation that would be so excellent.
Hi, I don’t think there would be any difference between online upgrade and in person. To get an ID card you just need to go FAC and there’s a window next to the information center, they will probably ask for your name and the EID, then you just need to let them take a picture and wait there until your name is called to pick your ID up and that will be it. So I will say that just upgrade it online and get your ID during orientation, there’s nothing to be afraid of because staffs at UT are pretty friendly
